The Company of Cats in Singapore: 1 hour of cat-human happiness :)

The Company of Cats is a cat cafe in Singapore. It was my favorite based on my comparison of the four cats cafes in Singapore, so I went there during my trip to Singapore and this cat cafe really exceeded my expectations!
The Entrance
We stayed for one hour and that one hour was filled with human and cat happiness. I could easily spend a whole day in this place, but they charge an additional SGD 5 per 30 minutes (on top of the SGD 14 for the first hour) and we also had others plans.

Before we entered the room with the cats, we had to wash our hands, take off our shoes and the staff went through the rules with us, which is a very good thing to my opinion. They care about hygiene and how the visitors treat their cats.

The cozy cat interior of the Company of Cats
When we entered the cafe, we were happily surprised. Apparently we were the only visitors at that time (weekday afternoon), so the place felt really homy. And the cats were so adorable! Some were really lazy and just sleeping while others were active and playful.

The Cafe Cats
There were two staff members and they really did not bother us at all. They only entered the room and talked to us several times. Just enough to feel comfortable.

I also really like the idea that they have a "cat business only" room, where only cats and staff are allowed. This is a resting area for the cats and the litter boxes are also there. When I asked about one of the cats that was not in the room (Skippy), the staff went to the cats-only room and lured him into the cafe with some fishy snacks (without forcing him of course). And it was actually really fine that we could not see all the cats. Cats also have some privacy rights :)

The "Cat Business Only" Door
Besides the adorable cats and homy atmosphere, the cafe is filled with cat creativity. There are so many funny and beautiful cat books, drawings, photos, funny texts, a cat monopoly board game and many other cat-things. And plenty of toys for the cats.

One of the funny books...
Book about the famous Japanese cat 'Maru'
The cats also really enjoyed the shelves wall. There are boxes on high shelves to hide and sleep, and they can walk/jump from shelf to shelf. All is very cat-friendly. It really inspired me to make my home more cat-friendly too.

Playing and sleeping on the shelves

So the Company of Cats was a great experience and now I am really curious about the next cat cafe that I will visit: Neko No Niwa.
